A scientist by training, a free thinker by design, and a bohemian soul by nature…

In the CountryIn the beginning there was light and reasoning, as well as doing what was right. After I probed I could receive a degree, I did what was expected of me. I got myself on a plane, flew 3788 km or 2354 miles and started graduate school.

Fast forward through the dark ages and, once again, I confirmed my ability to earn a degree. Today I’m part of team that promotes innovation and helps make the world a better place.
During the day I work to ensure that scientific knowledge and technology are accessible to the world. The rest of the time, I am a writer, crafter, artist, explorer. Nothing brings me more pleasure than creating something out of nothing.

This fortunate turn of events has shaped me into an unconventional, non-materialistic, free spirit with hippie tendencies and a bohemian soul.

I always dreamed of leaving home to start an adventure of my own. After earning my Doctorate, I did just that.

Bohemians practice an unconventional lifestyle with few permanent ties and are often found in the company of like-minded people. To quote Wikipedia, bohemians can be wanderers, adventurers or vagabonds.

“Better to be the river, not the stone in the middle. Best to be the changing water, not the pebble dragged along.” ~The Storm by S.J. Tucker

The Storm reminds us that it’s best to remain true to yourself and not get dragged down by society and what others may say. No matter the level of education, most people desire to be happy. I’m committing to living a meaningful life while pursuing the passions that inspire and motivate me.

PS: Silver Antigen is a tribute to my inner nerd: Ag is the symbol for the element Silver in the Periodic Table, which also happens to be my birth element, and the abbreviation for Antigen.
